Toolmaker (m/f)

Required:
Mittlere Reife or Fachschulreife (equivalent of the General Certificate of Secondary Education or high school diploma).

Training period:
3 – 3.5 years.

Training:
Corresponding to the training plan, trainees are taught the following subjects and skills: basic training (filing, reaming, boring, etc.), milling, lathe metal-cutting, quality assurance, design, assembly, testing, trouble-shooting in tools, managing settings on presses and optimizing tools, welding, hardening, brazing and modern manufacturing methods. At the end of the training period, the trainees have been familiarized will all the work performed by a tool mechanic in an industrial business and can perform this work unsupervised.

Two trainees are accepted for each training period.

 

Internships for college students:

Training period:
up to six months

For example, placement possible during the first internship semester towards a degree in Mechatronics and Microsystem Engineering, Automotive System Engineering, Electrotechnics, Machine Construction, etc.
